This painting was commissioned by a wonderful friend of mine. She wanted a faded old Farmall tractor sitting out in a Tennessee farm field. She also requested a sun-bleached barn in the background amidst a colorful assortment of trees and grasses.
This painting measures 30" x 24" and is painted on Museum grade Linen canvas using Bob Ross paints.

This is a wonderful painting. The colours blend beautifully together, a mixture of cool, warm and earthy tones. There is a bright and pleasant atmosphere that I'd love to get into my paintings. Feels like you could walk right into the scene. Love it.
Like LandscapePainter mentioned, it all blends in so very well yet still holds enough contrasts to create shadows and distance!

I would say to paint a tractor you would need good references from several different angles. I always do a black and white pencil sketch, then a quick color chart to help with various tones and values. The one tip I could give you is to paint it on a larger canvas so you can add little details. Thanks
